Kazakhstan machine builders offer new opportunities for cooperation

The Kazakh delegation met with representatives of machine-building enterprises of Russia and foreign countries, the press service of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry (AKMI) reports.
The meeting of the heads of domestic and foreign machine-building enterprises was held on May 25 at the international specialized exhibition "Metalworking-2021" in Moscow.
The round table "Prospects for the development of mechanical engineering within the EAEU", organized by the the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry with the support of the Russian-Kazakh Business Council and the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, was held with the participation of heads of domestic and foreign machine-building enterprises.
In his speech, Deputy Trade Representative of Kazakhstan in Russia, Damir Adilbekov noted the wide potential of cooperation between the two countries. He paid special attention to the investment climate in the country and spoke about attractive conditions for potential investors.
In turn, Adilbek Bektibayev, Head of the Public Procurement Policy Implementation Department of the Competition Policy Department in the Field of Public Procurement of the EEC, spoke about the support of industrial cooperation through public procurement of the EAEU. He also noted that Kazakhstan's share in the volume of public procurement in the EAEU in 2020 amounted to 12.5%, in monetary terms, $ 16.89 billion.
Then Deputy Chairman of the QMS Yerkanat Mukanov told the participants about the development indicators of the machine-building industry of Kazakhstan. He noted the dynamics of production volumes and the volume of imports of machine-building products in Kazakhstan. The participants of the meeting were also told about the prospects of industrial cooperation and mutually beneficial cooperation in oil and gas, mining and metallurgical and agricultural engineering.
